What they say about us

I booked a single room for a one week stay Knowing that I would have to share a bathroom, so I was delighted when I was shown to my room that there was in fact a shower and I would only be required to share a w.c. in an upstairs bathroom. The hotel really is only a 10min walk from the station, and only a 15min walk from the historical centre of Florence. This hotel is very much a budget hotel with few facilities, no coffee making options or in-room tv ect., but it does have a good deal of charm and everything is clean and tidy and your hosts are friendly and helpful
The single room is on the ground floor at the front of the hotel and is directly by the street, so I found the complimentary ear-plugs helpful. My bed was made every day and towels were changed as necessary. Wi-fi was poor in my room but much better on the roof terrace which is available to all guests and not just those with a room giving direct access. On the three occasions I visited the terrace I was given a coffee and tartlet by my friendly host. More
My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights on our two-week trip through Italy this past September. We had a very lovely stay here, though the biggest downfall was the bed being a bit uncomfortable. No breakfast on site but plenty of nearby cafés for coffee or a quick bite. The hosts were very friendly and gave lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Minutes away from the train station and all the action Florence has to offer. Would highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed three nights at Il Bargellino. We had never been to Florence, so most of our stay involved being away from the hotel. The location is perfect, you’re walking distance to every attraction. Carmel and Pino were great hosts - always providing helpful information and available to call a cab. I felt safe and secure in the establishment. The room is a good size but the bathroom was small. However, for the price, I really shouldn’t complain. Our room was always clean and the patio was nice - I did my makeup outside every morning. If you’re a light sleeper, such as myself, bring earplugs because while the chirping of the birds is a wonderful sound, it is less wonderful at 4 AM. More
A very clean functional room with daily room service and very quiet too. The large patio was a big bonus...a beautiful spot to relax with a glass of wine or snack after a long day of sightseeing. Carmel was very helpful in any manner that we required. The location was perfect, minutes to restaurants, coffee shops, and local historical sights.
We had 5 enjoyable nights and would recommend this cute hotel.
I recently stayed here for 3 nights in room #2 on the main floor (shared bathroom upstairs). This place was such a treat!! Fantastic hosts, lots of character. This was a great room for solo traveler on a modest budget. Grazie mille!
Hotel Il Bargellino is just a 10-minute walk from the train station, and only about a minute away from Via Nazionale, but it's on a quiet street away from the crowds. You are only minutes away from the Duomo and within easy walking distance of everything in the historic center of Florence.
The room is quite large, the terrace is lovely, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The building is old, and I love the high ceilings and marble stairs. Breakfast is not included, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
Stayed at the hotel for one night. Hotel was situated in very good location near to the railway station and. Room was clean and comfortable. Received good service, checking in and checking out was easy.
Just a short walk from the train station lies this quiet little property near all the major attractions that Florence is famous for. The rooms are clean and updated, some offering a rooftop terrace, and a chance to meet Cleo the owner's bird as she suns herself outside on nice Tuscan days.
Everything you would want to see - The Duomo, the Uffizi Galleria, The Academia, are easily accessible from this location. The location also is close to the train station which houses many tour opportunities for those who can't walk easily.
But what makes this hotel a special gem are the owners, Carmel and Pino. Their hospitality makes you feel like a visiting friend. If you want to experience the charm and character of Florence, this quaint hotel is the perfect introduction to the city.
Best to book directly with the owners instead of through a travel site. You will get the best personal service that way.
