We are a few minutes walk from the Stazione Santa Maria Novella, the main train station in Florence. Taxi service from the airport has a flat rate of Û 20. However "Hotel Il Bargellino" can be reached without specific permits. Plot the route on a map before you go. Keep in mind that if you drive on a street marked (ZTL) "Limited Traffic Zone" you WILL receive a hefty fine.

Get off exit "Firenze Certosa", "Firenze Nord" or "Firenze Sud" depending on which
direction you're coming from.
Follow signs first for "Centro", then for "Fortezza Da Basso" and "Stazione Santa Maria Novella"
Get to "Viale Spartaco Lavagnini",

This is where it becomes most important to follow directions:
From "Viale Spartaco Lavagnini" either turn right onto or cross onto (depending on which direction you're coming from) "Via S. C. D'Alessandria".
This street will change name and become "Via Nazionale"
Pass "Piazza Della Indipendenza". Just beyond this piazza, turn RIGHT onto "Via Guelfa" (It is very important that you turn RIGHT on Via Guelfa)
